The widely respected Cisco Career Certifications bring valuable, measurable rewards to network professionals, their managers, and the organizations that employ them. Cisco Career Certifications are specialized for computer network and Internetwork (Internet network) professionals, and indicate three levels of technical proficiency: Associate, Professional and Expert. The Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification is at the top of the training pyramid for network support. The Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) certification is at the top of the training pyramid for network design. Each Cisco Certification allows you to specialize in routing and switching, wide area network (WAN) switching or other specialties, such as network security, a growing field. All other Cisco Certifications are beginning or intermediate steps toward the top of the two pyramids, but are valuable on their own.
